Yessiirree Bob! That is precisely what we were privileged to experience on Sunday in worship at Mount Pisgah. And it was beautiful!!!! We came together as the body of Christ professing our faith and unity as one in Jesus, We believe in God the Father almighty…
Dr. Jehu Hanciles, who is the Brooks Chair of World Christianity at the Candler School of Theology, shared an amazing and inspirational message and we worshipped together in three different languages. He reminded us that we have gone too long in western Christianity with the church worship service being the most segregated hour of the week. I couldn’t agree more.
God has blessed us here in metro Atlanta with people from all over the world and many come from a Christian faith long established in a homeland far away. What a joy to see people from four continents gathered in our little corner of the world sharing in a World Communion Sunday experience and committing themselves to be disciples of Jesus making disciples of Jesus here, there, and everywhere for the transformation of the world!
It was like a preview of heaven. Thank you Lord for blessing us to see your glory to carry your love and hope to those who are sadly not yet aware of God’s great love for them in Jesus Christ! Love God, Love People!
