Of all of my favorite Christmas memories, it occurs to me that the primary objects that brings me joy in remembering are people not things. Don’t get me wrong, I have been blessed to receive some great gifts over the years from family and friends, but the real memories that have stuck are around people living out some portion of God’s story at work in mankind.
This year a special memory was made at the North Atlanta Christmas Festival with a group of people who are the most inspiring people I have ever met, the Titans. The Titans are a family of people who are blessed to call Mount Pisgah home in so many ways. Their physical challenges do not deter them from enjoying life, receiving the grace of God, and sharing life and grace with others in so many encouraging ways. They are quite simply the most inspiring people I have ever met and I see Christ in them every time we gather.
I suspect if you will pay attention you will see people around you at work, home, and play that are collaborating magnificently with God and God’s plan for them. Through them, you can find tremendous Christmas inspiration which reminds you that Christ has come and is alive and well and at work in your world. May God be praised, Emmanuel!
