How can a person by “happy” and “feel good about themselves” if they are unable to sacrifice themselves for others ( the test of true love)? I don’t believe “deists”, in general, would ever agree with your tenets of this modern “moral deism” (there’s nothing moral about it). Most deists do not believe God “watches over the Earth” or provides “celestial performance enhancement” as you, tongue in cheek, put it. Deists usual just believe God created everything and give us the tools, esp. the brain, to do good (or bad). I would describe youth as a time when we believe we are invincible little “gods” which the Universe revolves around. Youth is a time of narcissism, self-consciousness and conceit for many. Unfortunately, some of our “youths” are in their 40s or older, these days. I would not describe youth, esp. today, as any kind of “deists” (that is, related to deism as a religious belief).

Beth – yes, in fact, I just got off the phone with Denise and she is much improved. She said she could feel the presence of God while unconscious and
believes that God is bringing us into a new definition of what it means to be in one accord in Christ!
